Funeral expenses fundraiser planned after family suffers sudden loss
Lenn and Dena Morin lost their youngest son Tyler about two weeks ago after an unexpected medical issue. Now, friend of the family Jacki L’Heureux-Mason hopes the community will rally to help the family as their grieve.
L’Heureux-Mason is executive director of Tourism Moose Jaw and has organized the Sidewalk Days festival since 2012 — a task she said might not have been possible without Lenn Morin.
CUPE to hold community BBQ in Moose Jaw on July 13
CUPE Saskatchewan’s summer BBQ circuit will be stopping in Moose Jaw for a free community lunch and some afternoon activities on July 13 at Elgin Park. Organized to celebrate the hard work of the region’s public employees, the event is open to all members of the public and will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Rambler Park Fastball last night saw the Moose Jaw Giants fall 7-1 to the Hawks and in the nightcap, the Moose Jaw Canadians defeated the Hawks 3-2. Dustin Theil's two-run homer in the 6th inning was the difference. Blake Dixon was the winning pitcher.

One suspect arrested; two fled following weekend break-and-enter
A break-and-enter incident at a business in the early hours of Saturday morning has led to charges for a male youth, with two others yet to be apprehended.
A patrol officer witnessed the break-and-enter as it was happening on the 400 block of Lillooet Street West at 1:45 a.m. on July 6.
