Ryan Buckton appeared in Moose Jaw Province Court via video on Wednesday from remand. Legal Aid lawyer Zack Anderson said they have secured Regina lawyer Roch Dupont to represent Buckton.

Yesterday saw the Moose Jaw Canucks AAA 15U win their first game against the Sask Five Giants 12-7. The Canucks then fell to the Giants in Game 2, losing 25-6. The Canucks are at Blackwell Baseball Diamond tonight, playing the Swift Current Advantage Manufacturing Ltd 57’s starting at 6.

In the Western Canadian Baseball League, the Moose Jaw Miller Express beat the Red Sox 9-8 in Regina on Saturday. At Ross Wells last night, they ended their game against the Edmonton Prospects due to rain, with the Miller Express winning 6-2. The Miller Express and Prospects play again tonight at Ross Wells.
The Moose Jaw Canucks AAA 15U play a pair of games against the Sask Five Giants today at Blackwell Baseball Diamond. Game 1 starts at 1 p.m., with game 2 at 4 p.m.

Riverhurst invites you to a night of art and music
On July 4, the Village of Riverhurst will come alive with an art show and sale featuring local and regional artists, followed by an evening of music under the prairie sky performed by well-known Saskatchewan musician Jeffery Straker.
The Riverhurst Art Show is free to everyone. It opens at 5 p.m. in the Community Hall and will feature works in pottery, sculpture, jewelry and more. Highlighted will be paintings by Riverhurst artists Edie Marshall, Don Rode and Rhae Ann Bromley.
