Saskatchewan Polytechnic offering free micro-credential courses
Saskatchewan Polytechnic, along with the Canadian Colleges for a Resilient Recovery and the Quick Train Canada Program, are offering a number of tuition-free micro-credential courses.
The courses provided focus on supporting a clean, low-carbon economy.
Planned 8-hour SaskPower outage for Wed. in Westmount and West Heath
Some areas of Moose Jaw will be without power for eight hours on Wednesday, February 7th, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The outage will affect all residents on the 0 block of Brigham Road, odd numbers on the 100 block of Wellington Drive, odd numbers on the 1200 to 1500 blocks of Spadina Street and the odd numbers on the 1600 block of Spadina Drive.

Moose Jaw Wakamow MLA Greg Lawrence has been charged with assault.
The Moose Jaw Police Service began investigating complaints of an assault during an interaction between two people on June 27, 2023.
Lawrence, 58, was charged on Wednesday with assault and assault by choking. His first court appearance will be March 18 at Moose Jaw Provincial Court.
The Moose Jaw Police Service says no further information will be released as these matters are now before the courts.

According to a TD Economics report released earlier this month, Saskatchewan leads the nation in job vacancy rates.
The report says the highest number of job openings are in the construction, healthcare, accommodation and food services, and retail trade industries. That being said, the report outlined that those are the top hiring sectors in every province across the country.

Lee Saretsky was scrolling through Facebook Marketplace one day when he came across the airplane body. He and his friends contemplated whether to buy it or not.
“We sat on it for a couple of months, and then we pulled the trigger. We thought we needed to do this,” said Saretsky.
