The fall sitting of the 30th Legislature is complete. Our government was able to advance legislation to build a strong economy and bright future for all Saskatchewan residents, while delivering on the recent provincial election commitment to make life more affordable.

In November of 2023, a dedicated group of people formed a committee and presented their intentions to the public. Their plan? To build The INN.  

“At that time, Steinbach City Council told us very clearly, that whatever we do, it must be done right, and we must build within the zoning requirements. And so, a year later, we’re back to report on our progress!”

Impressions Gift Company is open later than ever for the holiday season. Co-owners Mandy and Brad Wilson have stocked their shelves with local Saskatchewan-made and Canadian-made products, as well as plenty of popular items.

“We have some product from the US, but we try to keep it Canadian as much as possible,” Brad shares. “Most everything here you won’t find in other places locally- there’s some overlap, but for the most part, it’s all unique.”

When you turn the page from Old to the New Testament the first thing you will come to is a long list of names. These names make up Israel’s History and the lineage of Jesus. But there are 4 names that stand out…4 women…and women are not normally included in genealogies. The inclusion of these names draws our attention back to their stories but also give added weight to the Christmas Story and the Story of Jesus. The first mentioned, Tamar, reminds us that God is faithful in keeping his promises.

A family-run shop specializing in Indigenous giftware has just celebrated its fourth year in Ile des Chenes, just ten minutes south of Winnipeg.

Shoni Cree’s opened in October 2019 in the Meadowlark Boulevard strip mall, and has seen a growing clientele ever since.

“A lot of people are making their way into the store and they're surprised that there's such a nice unique gift store located in this area. They are quite happy that we are here.”

As Mission Aviation Fellowship prepares to celebrate International Civil Aviation Day on December 7, the organization says more pilots are needed to fly its life-saving and economy-building routes.
