Summer in the City will be here before we know it, and Sports in the City is back and better than ever! Organizers are getting ready for the return of Hockey in the City, and are preparing to welcome something new to the festival – adult co-ed beach volleyball!  

Jamie Roy is hosting Hockey in the City again this year. He says it’s a popular sport that gets kids active and having fun.

El’dad was started in the 80s by Gerda and Addison Klassen, originally designed with the goal of providing second chances to young men at odds with the law. They received support through the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC).

Chantel Todd is the Interim Recreation Facility Manager, as well as Programmer with the Town of Niverville. According to Todd, the Niverville CRRC boasts plenty of teen and adult programs, as well as many drop-in opportunities. These include yoga, watercolour, acrylics, budgeting 101, Zumba, boot camp, barre fusion, kickboxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, wrestling, and qigong.
