the Funeral Service for Mr. Jake Block of Swift Current and formerly of Herbert will take place on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from Bridgeway Community Church in Swift Current with Pastor Lincoln Vellacott and Pastor Donovan Epp officiating.

A private family Interment Service will take place at the Herbert Cemetery.

Margaret Rose Germain, 83, of St. Malo passed away Wednesday, May 7th at DeSalaberry District Health Centre. She is survived by 1 daughter, 2 sons, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Ken. 
Cremation has taken place. 
Private family ash interment for Margaret Rose Germain will be held at a later date.

Pastor Jacob Jake Froese, 86, of Winnipeg passed away February 2nd at St. Boniface Hospital. He is survived by his wife Diane, 3 sons, and their families. He was predeceased by his first wife Lena. 
The Going Home Service for Pastor Jacob Jake Froese will be held Sunday, May 18th at 3pm at Morrow Gospel Church, 755 Ste. Anne’s Road. Private family burial has already taken place.

Gertrude Trudy Heide, 94, of Beaumont, Alberta formerly of Edmonton, passed away April 23rd. She is survived by 4 sons and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Peter H. Heide, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers. 
The celebration of life for Gertrude Trudy Heide will be held Thursday, May 29th at Red Willow Community Church, St. Albert, Alberta.

Germain Antoine Bourassa, late of Kisbey, SK passed away on May, 7, 2025 at the age of 71 years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Horace Bourassa and Yvonne Bourassa-Hebert; step father, Lou Hebert; brother, Laurent (Cathy) Bourassa, brother-in-law, Brian Lyttle; father-in-law, Wallace Haywahe; and his nephew, Doug Bourassa.

James ‘Jim’ Gregory Korte
May 28, 1949 – May 8, 2025

Ashton, Diane Pearl passed away May 6, 2025, at the age of 76.  At the time of her passing, Diane lived in Moose Jaw, and was formerly of Swift Current and Outlook.

Her residence at time of death was Moose Jaw, she also lived in Swift Current and Outlook at various times.

The graveside service will be held on May 12, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, Saskatchewan, with Susan Franklyn officiating and singing.  A lunch will follow the service at St Stephen's Anglican Church at 2:15 p.m.

BUCKMASTER

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Glenna Grace Buckmaster (née: Campbell), wife, mom, grammie, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend.  She passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13th, 2025, in Moose Jaw, SK, at the age of 73 years.

Glenna was born in Moose Jaw on November 25th, 1951, to James (Jim) Stewart Campbell and Blanche Isabel Campbell (née: Pottruff).  She grew up on the family farm near Lake Valley, SK, with sister Bonnie Mullin. 

Elmer Allan Franks, late of Weyburn, SK passed away on March 5, 2025 at the age of 90 years.

He was predeceased by his wife, Fran; parents, David and Bertha; his brothers, Doug and Rueben; father and mother-in-law, Pat and Mildred Patrick; Fran’s siblings: Bill and Agnes Pittman, Quint and Marg Patrick, Bert and Doug McKenzie and Gerry Grandbois.

MASON

Francis (Frank) Wilfred Mason aged 65 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away Wednesday, May 7th, 2025, after a short battle with cancer.

Frank was born and raised in Moose Jaw and graduated from Peacock High School.  He worked multiple jobs over the years, with the last ten years living and working in Kyle, SK.
