I am heartbroken to announce the passing of our father, Terrance (Terry) James Makinson, on February 22nd, 2025 in Nanaimo, B.C.at the age of 76.

Dad was born and raised in the Austin, Manitoba area, a treasured only child. After graduating from high school in Austin, he pursued a degree from Bemidji State University in Minnesota.

Brian Shewchuk
September 2, 1950 - February 26, 2025

On Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Humboldt District Hospital surrounded by his family Brian Wallace Shewchuk 74 years, of Watson passed away peacefully.

Brian was born on September 2, 1950, to Metro and Anne (nee Hupka) Shewchuk, at Watson.  He was the youngest of 3 sons.

Beverly Svea Hansen

Weyburn October 25, 1939 – February 24, 2025

Bev was the youngest of 5, raised on the family farm in Grassdale area, 18 miles SE of Weyburn. She rode horseback or travelled by buggy to a 1 room schoolhouse with her siblings. Her favorite animals on the farm were the sheep. She received 1 penny per day for looking after them!

Bev met Don, a great dancer who also turned out to be the love of her life, while attending Saturday evening dances at club 13 located on the eastern edge of Weyburn.

Mervin Henry Norris July 15, 1931 – February 24, 2025

Mervin Henry Norris died in Kerrobert on February 24, 2025 at the Kerrobert & District Health Centre following a brief illness.

Mervin was born in Kerrobert on July 15, 1931and was the fourth child of Henry and Lena Norris (McKinstry). He was predeceased by his parents and sisters Aletha Coleman, Myrtle Goulding and Dora Salkeld. He is survived by ten nieces and nephews: Warren, Donna, Elaine, Audrey, Rae, John, Beverley, Mark, Jeff and Laird.

THELMA LORRAINE ELLIOTT 

It is with deep sadness and much love that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Thelma Elliott, on Monday, February 24th, 2025, at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw, SK.

OLSON - Marie Louise Tremblay was born the second child of six to Marcel and Irene Tremblay (nee Cote) on January 28, 1952 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Louise received her schooling in Courval and after completing grade 12 she attended Hair Design Academy in Moose Jaw.

Lyndon Siemens, 44, of Rosenfeld passed away Tuesday, February 18th at Kentucky. He is survived by his parents Larry and Liz Siemens, 1 sister, 1 brother, and their families.  
A memorial service for Lyndon Siemens will be held Saturday, 2pm at Altona EMMC with burial at Rosenfeld Cemetery at a later date. The service will also be available by Livestream on the Wiebe Funeral Home, Altona website).

Mary Dueck, 83, of Grunthal passed away Monday, February 17th at St. Pierre Hospital. She is survived by 2 daughters, 3 sons, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband John. 
The funeral service for Mary Dueck will be held Friday, February 28th at 11am at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach with burial at Grunthal Cemetery. 
Donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba.

Neil Fehr, 69, of Steinbach passed away Saturday, February 22nd at Bethesda Regional Health Centre. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann, 3 sons, and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Cornelius R. and Anna Fehr, his in-laws Jac P. and Anne Kehler, 1 brother and 2 brothers-in-law. 
The funeral service for Neil Fehr will be held Friday, February 28th at 2pm at Steinbach Crossview Church. 
Viewing will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
