Joan Carole Gower (née: Hamre) passed away on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025 at the age of 89 years, after a short stay in hospice care. 

Joan was born on March 20th, 1936, to Harry and Ruby Hamre in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.  As a child of a Royal Bank manager, she spent her childhood moving to different towns and cities and had many fond memories of the friends she met and communities she lived in along the way. 

Wesley “Wes” Sprinkle
October 3, 1953 – June 13, 2025

Wesley Claybourne Sprinkle was born on October 3rd, 1953, in Medicine Hat, the second child born to Bill and Doreen Sprinkle. Following the breakup of the family Wes moved with his brother Bill and father to live with his grandparents in Saskatchewan and they eventually settled on a farm in the Furdale community south of Saskatoon. His education was received in the one room school at Furdale followed by Grasswood Public School and then years of riding the bus to Clavet with his siblings.

Marvin Gerbrant, 73, of Lowe Farm passed away Friday, June 13th at Boundary Trails Health Centre. He is survived by his wife Betsy, 3 daughters, 1 son, 1 sister, and their families. He was predeceased by 1 sister. 
The funeral service for Marvin Gerbrant will be held Friday, June 20th at 2pm at Lowe Farm Bergthaler Church with ash interment at Lowe Farm Cemetery. 
Viewing will be at Morris Funeral Home Wednesday, June 18th from noon to 7pm.

Funeral Date: June 28, 2025 
Clara Anne Schroeder nee Wiebe, 86, of Morden passed away Sunday, June 8th at Manitou Personal Care Home. She is survived by 1 daughter and 2 sons. She was predeceased by her husband Frank. 
The funeral service for Clara Anne Schroeder nee Wiebe will be held Saturday, June 28th at 2pm at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, Morden with burial at Hillside Cemetery.

Funeral Date: June 19, 2025 
Werner Trapp, 98, of Steinbach passed away Wednesday, June 11th at Bethesda Regional Health Centre. He is survived by 2 sons, 2 sisters, 1 brother, and their families. He was predeceased by his wife Helene, 1 sister, and 1 brother. 
The funeral service for Werner Trapp will be held Thursday, June 19th at 1pm at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with burial at Heritage Cemetery. 
Viewing will be at Birchwood Funeral Chapel Wednesday, June 18th from 7 to 8pm. 

Funeral For:  Fred Wanke 
Funeral Date: June 21, 2025 
Fred Wanke, 90, of Menisino passed away Sunday, January 26th at Vita Personal Care Home. He is survived by his wife Margit, 5 sons, 2 sisters, 1 brother, and their families. He was predeceased by 1 son, 1 brother, and 2 brothers-in-law. 
A memorial service for Fred Wanke will be held Saturday, June 21st at 11am at Birchwood Funeral Chapel.

The Graveside Service for the late Bea Brabender of Climax will be held on Tuesday, June 17th at 2:00 p.m. from Climax Cemetery in Climax. Interment for the late Bea Brabender will take place at Climax Cemetery at Climax. Binkley’s Funeral Service of Shaunavon is in charge of the arrangements. Dorothy Alice Decksheimer

1930 – 2025

FOREVER AT PEACE

We are sad to say good-bye to our mother, Dorothy Alice (Mattson) Decksheimer. Mom passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 8, 2025 one day short of her 95th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin Decksheimer. She was loved and will be missed by her children - Sandi, Randy (Brenda), Judy, Doug (Darla), Rod (Kathie), Scott (Kara) and 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.  

CHELL

Jody Chell aged 50 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Saturday, May 31st, 2025.  Jody was born in 1974 in Thompson, Manitoba, with her younger brother, Toban Chell, arriving a few years later.  Jody is survived by her daughter, Samantha Nestman; father, Tim Chell; brother, Toban Chell; her best friend, Ivan Hicks; as well as many beloved extended family members and friends. 

Barb Herbert (née Hetherington)
November 12, 1956 – June 5, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Barb Herbert on Thursday, June 5, 2025, in the backyard of her Sylvan Lake home—her sanctuary and her pride and joy.
