Pharmasave Steinbach blossoms in its first spring
They say time flies when you’re having fun and for Scott Penner, owner and lead pharmacist at Pharmasave in Steinbach, winter was a whirlwind of excitement.
“It doesn't feel that long ago that we opened, but it's been eight months and things are going extremely well.”
Since opening their doors in Victoria Plaza in September 2022, Pharmasave has seen great success and support from the community – not just behind the counter.

Lori Johnson, coordinator at the Saskatchewan Burrowing Owl Interpretive Center and Alex Froese, director and founder at the Manitoba Burrowing Owl Recovery Program, have joined forces to save the burrowing owl, and potentially remove them off the list of endangered species.

Construction of a new office and storage facility at their Distribution Centre will begin this spring with completion expected by year's end. Barb Plett is the Employment Facilitator with Eastman Immigrant Services (EIS). She says excitement is growing for their in-person job fair, Thursday, March 16th from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Steinbach’s Pat Porter Active Living Centre.
“The Job Fair is open to everybody, immigrants and non-immigrants alike,” invites Plett. “Everybody in the community can come!”
