In the last round, we wanted to see photos of you and your pet enjoying summer and based on the photos entered, it sure looks like the pets of the southeast are having a great season! Congratulations to Dawn who shared this photo her wearing her dog, Dixie. She won a $500 credit towards dental care at Clearspring Animal Hospital.
Family fun in Buffalo Point: Buffalo Days in photos
The thunderstorm stayed away for the afternoon, and it turned out to be the perfect lake day.
Many families joined in on some fun at Buffalo Point’s annual Buffalo Days celebration that goes on all weekend long.
Lee Green and Debbie Sexmith presented the idea of Buffalo Days to the Chief and Council nine years ago and now it is a well-known family fun day amount the Buffalo community.
Eastman Warriors battle heat and injuries
The Eastman Warriors played the Wasps in last night's Rugby game at A.D. Penner Park.
The Warriors physiotherapist, Eric Larson says that the breeze was on their side, but the players struggled due to the heat.
“We have a couple muscle strains, the heat plays a role, just dehydration,” he says. “And it’s a tough sport too so there’s always a few guys that get dinged up every game.”

The Sultans win last regular-season game with the help of the Landmark 13U team
Last night, the Junior Carillon Sultans had their last regular-season game against the Pembina Valley Orioles and won 8-3.
Co-coach, Joel Hartung says the team has had a great season and looks forward to the playoffs.
“We have first place wrapped up. This is our last regular season game. I think we’re 20 wins and five losses.”

“20 amazing, fulfilling, fabulous, years,” Joy Neufeld announces retirement from Soup's On
This Saturday, Soup’s On had their 20th Anniversary party at the Grace Mennonite Church and many came out to enjoy a free BBQ lunch and celebrate with this amazing organization.
It was a beautiful afternoon to be outside. They also had kid’s activities including colouring, face painting, and bouncy castles.
However, the celebration doesn’t end there. Joy Neufeld, founder of Soup’s On, announces her retirement.
