A busy and fun weekend in Steinbach as Pioneer Days goes on. The weekend is filled with lots of activities, and many have decided to spend it at the Mennonite Heritage Village (MHV).

Happy August long weekend! As the summer continues to fly by, there are still many events each weekend for the family to attend.
It is officially Pioneer Days in Steinbach this weekend and there’s so much going on.
Kicking off the weekend on Friday morning, the 56th annual parade will begin at 10am at the East end of Main Street. It will continue down Main, cross Highway 12, and end at North Front Drive.
Bring the kids down and prepare for cool floats and lots of candy!

Vendor village, food, foam party, baseball, and more: Landmark Friendship Festival in photos
It was a beautiful day in Landmark for their annual Friendship Festival and lots was happening.
They had a softball tournament, food trucks, vendor village, and so many activities for the kids including a magic show, face painting, bouncy castles, foam party, and more.
Amanda Reimer, event coordinator says that she was in grade 9 when her classmate chose the name ‘Friendship Festival’, and she thought it was the perfect name.
Country Truckin’ raises $45,000 for local charities
After much work and planning, the Country Truckin’ charity concert went on tonight and was a huge success.
Many came out to Blumenort to enjoy the auction, truck show, food, live music, and most importantly, to support three incredible charities.
Live performances from Doc Walker, The Coveralls, Emma Peterson, Jaryn Friesen, and Young & Haggard had the crowd dancing all night long.

The Mennonite Heritage Village looked a little bit different this afternoon as cars, trucks, ATV’s, old and new lined up along Main Street.
The warm weather didn’t stop car enthusiasts from entering the contest and people coming to enjoy the museum’s grounds while admiring the cars.

This weekend is Ste. Agathe’s 35th annual Cheyenne Summer Festival and the event kicked off with a parade!
