18-year-old arrested after man carjacked while delivering parcel
An 18-year-old man is in custody after a delivery person was carjacked while dropping off a package in Elmwood.
Winnipeg police say the incident happened just before 1:30 pm. in the 500 block of Harbison Avenue.
Investigators say a 22-year-old man was dropping off a parcel when he was hit with bear spray and robbed of his vehicle. The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service treated the victim at the scene.
All highways reopen after several multi-vehicle crashes on bridges on foggy morning
All highways in the Winnipeg region are now reopened after thick fog and slippery road conditions led to a treacherous Wednesday morning commute.
Many of the collisions occurred on bridges or overpasses where cooler air below these structures causes slick surfaces, especially when conditions are around the freezing mark and damp.

Memorial in Winnipeg on Sunday for judge, senator, TRC chair Murray Sinclair
A public memorial honouring former judge, senator and chair of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission into residential schools, Murray Sinclair, is set to take place in Winnipeg on Sunday.
The event, which is being organized by the federal and Manitoba governments, will be at Canada Life Centre, home of the NHL's Winnipeg Jets.
Sinclair died Monday in a Winnipeg hospital at the age of 73.

MacDonnell's paintings document the impact of conflict from Bosnia to Afghanistan as well as revisiting atrocities of the past.

Freezing fog advisory for commuters Wednesday morning
All of southern Manitoba is currently under a fog advisory early Wednesday morning, including the city of Winnipeg.
The advisory includes freezing fog with the temperature just below zero degrees.
Certain areas have reduced visibility, so drivers should exercise caution when on the road and turn on their lights for safety.
Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero.
The fog is expected to dissipate as the temperature warms up later in the morning.
Concerns about trade, defence as MPs, diplomats eye U.S. vote results
MPs, diplomats and political staff gathered around the parliamentary precinct to anxiously take in preliminary results of a U.S. presidential election that they all agreed would have an enormous impact on Canada and the world.
"There's a lot of nervous energy in the room tonight," said Gary Keller, who was chief of staff to John Baird, the former Conservative foreign minister.
"This one has so much potential impact on our economy, our society."
