U14 Oilers are playoff-bound, earns top seed of the bracket with 5-1 record
The Estevan Minor Football's U14 Oilers have wrapped up their regular season, but the team isn't done on the field just yet. After winning their match last week against the Swift Current Steelers 52-0, the team finished with a 5-1 record, pushing the team to the top of the playoff bracket. Head Coach Chris Pfeifer says this is a first for the team.

Police tactical team sharpens skills during two days of exercise in the southeast
Estevan Police Service and Weyburn Police Service members met up last week in order to practice as part of the Joint Tactical Support Team, (JTST) which responds to a number of situations in both communities.
The JTST blocked off an area in Estevan on Thursday, before also practicing in Weyburn on Friday.

Southeast harvest at 98 per cent completed following warm fall season
Harvest is close to wrapped up for the southeast according to the latest crop report released by the provincial government.
In the entirety of the southeast region, harvest is 98 per cent completed. Broken down by region, census area 2 - which includes Avonlea, Fillmore, Minton, Radville and Weyburn - has reached 100 per cent, with all other southeast areas within 95 per cent complete.
SARM says provincial parties should keep an eye on rural crime as an important campaign piece
Rural crime is one topic that the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities is hoping the provincial parties have in mind as the election continues.
