On October 3rd police were called to a disturbance at a business in the 3500 block of Victoria Avenue. The male had been asked by staff and police to leave and he would not. He was brought to BPS detention cells to prevent further issues and will be released once sober.

Warrants Executed Along With New Charges - Brandon Police Service
On Thursday, October 3rd Brandon police officers attended to a home on Hawthorne Crescent to conduct warrant checks for two males, 40 and 27. Homeowner stated they weren’t home and provided consent to check the house.
The 27-year-old was found hiding in a closet and upon checking the laundry room the 40-year-old came out swinging a purse at a police officer and further resisted arrest.

Cameron Bartel, 56, of Morris passed away Thursday, September 26th at Health Sciences Centre. He is survived by his wife Debbie, 1 daughter, 2 sons, and their families.
The funeral service for Cameron Bartel will be held Tuesday, October 8th at 2pm at Rosenort EMC with private family burial prior to the service at the church cemetery.
Viewing will be held Monday, October 7th from 7 to 9pm at Rosenort EMC, including a short time of sharing.

Sara Kroeker nee Giesbrecht, 95, of Steinbach formerly of Landmark, passed away Wednesday, October 2nd at Bethesda Place Personal Care Home. She is survived by 2 daughters, 1 son, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, 5 sisters-in-law, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Norman and 1 daughter.

On October 1st a store in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue reported that a female stole $200 in merchandise and left the location. Video identified the 18-year-old female. She had a previous probation order not to attend the store.
