Theft of Hedge Trimmers in Zealandia - Rosetown Detachment 

Between 9:30pm and 11:30pm on Sunday June 9th or Monday June 10th, a theft in Zealandia. A yellow electric head trimmer was taken from an outbuilding. Two suspicious vehicles were seen in the community at that time: 1) an early 2000s white truck, with black headache rack and a yellow light on top, and very loud, with two males in the vehicle. 2) a dark colored SUV/hatchback, male driver and female passenger - may not have rear lights. 

Update event for Kindersley Inn Parking Lot infrastructure project

On behalf of Highways Minister Lori Carr, Kindersley MLA Ken Francis will provide an update about the ongoing infrastructure project taking place at the Kindersley Inn Parking Lot. (601 11 Avenue East, Kindersley. Near the corner of Ditson Drive and Highway 7.) The Thursday, June 13, event will take place at 1 p.m. They will be moving inside at this location in case of unforeseen weather. Please see the attached map and dress for outdoor weather. No open-toed shoes as this event is next to a construction. 

Significant injuries reported after dog incident in Biggar

The Biggar RCMP's latest list is out. The report for May 13 was jam-packed with a scary situation in town, speeders on local highways, and rural thefts.

Beginning with a situation nobody wants to be part of, a 43-year-old suffered significant injuries following an altercation with a loose dog.

"A Great Dane escaped from its fenced yard on the 400 block of 3 Avenue East and attacked an unsuspecting pedestrian walking by on the sidewalk at the time." stated SGT. Dereck Crozier in the report, confirming the injuries.

UPDATE: Highway 7 re-opened late Tuesday following fuel spill

Highway #7 re-opened at approximately 9:15 PM on Tuesday night, after police responded to a gasoline spill at a business along the highway in Rosetown.

Highway 7 has been reduced to a single lane, this will be in effect for the rest of the afternoon.

Unity RCMP assist Saskatoon police in stolen property case

The Unity RCMP played a helping hand during a recent investigation involving the Saskatoon Police Service. The incident was included in the Saskatchewan RCMP's latest weekly, "on duty in your community" report.

On March 10 the Saskatoon Police Service got into contact with the Unity RCMP following a theft inside the city. A flat-deck trailer and a side-by-side was taken earlier that day from a Saskatoon residence, leading police to request assistance in locating the stolen property.

Kindersley RCMP investigating after firearm discharged at residence

Back on Sunday morning at approximately 2:20 a.m., Kindersley RCMP received a report that a firearm was discharged at a residence in Major, SK.

Officers immediately responded. Investigation determined an unknown individual or individuals discharged two to three rounds from a firearm, striking the residence.

One bullet entered the residence, striking a piece of furniture. An occupant reported a non-life-threatening injury to police, which was treated by EMS at the scene.

The fog has lifted in many parts of the region early this sunny Thursday afternoon.

Kindersley RCMP continue to investigate series of break ins

After reporting on break and enters from last week the Kindersley RCMP had a further series of break ins that occurred. Two more businesses and the Legion were broken into as well as two oil sites outside of Kindersley. The Kindersley RCMP continue to investigate and are again requesting that anyone who may have information or video surveillance that may assist the investigation to reach out to the Kindersley Detachment or contact Crime Stoppers.
