All roads in the west central region are showing winter driving conditions at this time with the exception of Highway 45 south of Delisle which is reporting travel not recommended at this time.

Most roads in the region have now been upgraded to winter driving conditions at this time. But still expect slow moving as the region continues to dig out from Saturday's blizzard. Highway 317 is now open, but Highway 30 still remains closed.
ICYMI: WEST Arrest 34-year-old male wanted by Kindersley police in Prince Albert
A 34-year-old male on a warrant from Kindersley RCMP was arrested in Prince Albert by the Prince Albert Police Service on February 29, 2024.
That was shared in a provincial RCMP release back on Thursday, as court details are pending, and will be provided once available. Saskatchewan RCMP put out the request for information back on Tuesday.
Extreme cold halting some local school buses
Local school bus drivers might be taking another morning off with the extreme cold warning still active around west-central Saskatchewan. Since Monday, extreme cold has blanketed the central portion of the province.

STF reacts to members not running for re-election
A noticeable shift is coming to the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly. Earlier this week, four former cabinet ministers announced that they would not be seeking re-election in the upcoming provincial election.
Following the news on Tuesday, Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation President Samantha Becotte gave a statement.
UPDATE: RCMP follows up on highway incident

After speaking with Outlook RCMP Wednesday morning, it was determined that road conditions were a factor in the accident. No injuries were reported and the area is once again free of obstructions.

A new survey is seeking out experiences on the farm. Available now, Homefield People & Strategy is conducting a research project that will help them learn about various experiences in the agricultural industry.
The about 5-minute-long survey begins with a chance for the farmer to introduce their situation, before going into more specific on-the-farm questions such as what crops you grow, how much land you farm, and the term that best describes your agricultural operation.

Winter driving conditions remain in the west-central region due the snow Sunday.
Once you get more towards Saskatoon, the snow appears to have tapered off. The same goes south of Elrose to the Saskatchewan Landing.
Macklin, however, got a decent shot of snow Sunday and Highway 14 is reporting winter driving conditions at this time with icy or slippery sections, wet subject to freezing and slush.

Charges laid after homicide, attempted homicide at Saskatchewan Penitentiary
A release from the Saskatchewan RCMP to begin the month of February detailed a tragic situation at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary.
"On January 29, 2024 at approximately 10:00 p.m., Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert General Investigative Section responded to a report of a sudden death and a second injured person at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary. The initial investigation determined an altercation occurred between a group of inmates."

The Town of Kerrobert has notified the public that they have just received final notification of the water advisory being lifted, and they can use water as normal.
