Gertrude Solonenka, born on January 19th, 1931, at Kerrobert, SK, passed away on Thursday, April 11th, 2024, at Chateau St Michaels in Moose Jaw, SK. She was predeceased by her husband, John and son, Robert. Gertrude is survived by her sons: Terry, Mike, Kelly, and Kevin; several grandchildren; and sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Dennis Robinson.
A Private Family Service to honour Gertrude will be held at a later date.
Larry George Dash
LARRY GEORGE DASH
(1941-2024)
Larry Dash passed away on April 6, 2024 at Gull Lake, Saskatchewan after fighting a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Vanguard, educated in Glen Bain and Gravelbourg, he ventured out to Alberta where he drove truck for Davies Trucking, drove water truck in the oil fields of Northern Alberta, and worked for AGT. Eventually he moved back to Gravelbourg to work in agriculture before retiring to Swift Current, Saskatchewan.

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our mother, sister, mother-in-law, and grandma, Alma Elizabeth Blair on Sunday, April 7th, 2024, at the age of 84 years.
Alma was born in Moose Jaw, SK on June 30th, 1939. She grew up on the Peel family farm with her parents and two sisters, Margaret and Anne. She graduated from Sion (Vanier Collegiate) in 1957 and then set her eyes for Teachers College.

Beverley Knutson, born on June 10th, 1937, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, March 30th, 2024, at the age of 86 years. Bev and her twin brother were the youngest of 12 children, and she has one surviving sister, Joyce Meyers of Leslieville, Alberta.
Bev will never be forgotten for her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, and positive attitude for everyone that met her.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lyle Adrian Joel aged 79 years of Central Butte, SK, announces his passing on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024, at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw, SK. Lyle was born on March 9th, 1945, in Calgary, AB to John and Mildred Joel and he grew up at the family farm just East of Loreburn, SK. After taking machinist training in Moose Jaw, Lyle moved to Edmonton, AB and worked as a machinist. He came back to run the family farm for a few years but then returned to the machinist trade.

Kathleen was born on the homestead at Lucky Lake, SK. She married her husband Scottie in 1944 and they moved to Moose Jaw, where they raised their family. Kathleen worked for several years at Eaton’s until the store closed.

Hubert is survived by his sisters, Ruth and Gladys; daughter, Rose (Corey); grandchildren, Amber and Dylan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
