Drivers in Kenora are warned of two road closures in the Ninth Street North area causing delays today and tomorrow.

The Airdrie RCMP has confirmed that there was a two-car collision in the vicinity of Market Street and Yankee Valley Boulevard. RCMP was on the scene, though no injuries were reported. Reports have stated that the collision has been cleared. 

There was also a four-car collision at the traffic circle on 8th Street, going southbound, although the RCMP stated there were no injuries to report in that collision either. The collision has since been cleared. 

The scene has been cleared. 

A semi that lost its load earlier on Monday morning had caused significant delays Northbound on the QEII just before the Yankee Valley Boulevard exit into Airdrie. Motorists were asked to avoid the right-hand shoulder lane as pylons had been set up by emergency crews.

Drivers in Dryden are warned of traffic delays on Duke Street today.

The City of Dryden says Duke Street, from Hearst Avenue to Memorial Avenue, will be closed to traffic until 4 p.m. as crews work on the water distribution system.

Thankfully, the overpass will remain open and will be accessible from Memorial Avenue, with a bit of a detour.

The City of Dryden is warning drivers in the Wilde Street area of repairs in their neighbourhood today.

Dryden staff say Wilde Street, from Elvis Avenue to Sandy Lane, will be closed to traffic until 4 p.m. today as crews work on the water distribution system.

Some delays in the Eagle Drive area can be expected today.

The City of Dryden is warning residents that Eagle Drive, from Pitt Avenue to Wabigoon Drive, will be closed to all traffic today until 5 p.m., as crews work to repair the area’s water distribution system.

Short traffic delays can be expected throughout Kenora today.

The City of Kenora says Northern Crack Sealing will be performing crack sealing work on a number of roadways today, with work expected to wrap up by October 10.

Roadways include:

- Valley Drive,
- Highway 17 from Parsons Street to Nash Drive,
- Twelfth Avenue North from Ninth Street North to Currie Road,
- Eighth Avenue South from Eighth Street South to Fifth Street South,
- First Avenue South from the First Avenue Bridge to Seventh Street South,

Two road closures today in Dryden are expected to cause delays – with one of the closures set to remain in effect for the rest of the month.

Kenora drivers are urged to keep an eye out for pedestrians in the Highway 17 and Fifth Street South area, as the city has installed a new crosswalk at the lights.

That’s the intersection by the Days Inn, Kenora’s A&W and Home Hardware.

Both motorists and pedestrians are asked to proceed with caution as everyone adjusts to the new sidewalk, and you’re asked to take extra time to ensure that the crosswalk is clear before proceeding onto Highway 17 east.

The City of Dryden is warning drivers of delays in the Whyte Avenue area today.

Staff say Whyte Avenue, from Princess Street to King Street, will be undergoing repairs to the water distribution system today until 4 p.m.

The street will remain open to traffic, but delays can be expected and drivers are reminded to move over and slow down when near working crews. The east sidewalk will also be closed to pedestrians.
