Bill was born to immigrant parents from the Ukraine seeking opportunity for a better life in Canada. They settled in Moose Jaw and began raising their family. Life was not easy.
George Milton McBride
The community of Moose Jaw sadly lost a pillar on Sunday, June 18, 2023, when George Milton McBride passed away. Milton is survived by his children; Aaron McBride, Shannon Strole (née McBride), and Christopher McBride, along with their spouses and children. Milton was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda; stepbrother Earl; stepbrother Harold; stepsister Noreen; and grandson McCade.

Terry Allcock, age 69 of Moose Jaw, passed away on June 6, 2023, at Providence Place (Edgar Hall).
Predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Muriel Allcock, Terry is survived by his sister Lori (Gordon) Knight, nephews Braden (Vanessa) and Matthew (Julia), as well as extended family.
Mary Jean McLean
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, Mary Jean McLean of Moose Jaw. Sask. on Sunday June 4th, 2023.
After a long struggle with her health, she was freed from all of her pain.
She was predeceased by her parents, Jacob, and Katharina Derksen, four brothers, three sisters, Don Mclean (father of her five children), son in law Jack Powell and Brian Ward (Bev’s partner).

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Merna Kitchen, who passed away peacefully at home on June 9th with her family by her side after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Merna is now with her husband and best friend, Robert (Kitch), and her parents Si and Edith Schmidt, sister Audrey (Roy) McKerricher, and brothers Roy (Marlene) and Dennis Schmidt.
Beth Flavel
It is with sadness that the family of Beth Flavel announce her passing on June 8, 2023, at the age of 82. She left us peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beth was born to Alex and Luta Burrows on March 29, 1941. She grew up in Silton, and in 1959 she moved to Regina to take a secretarial course. She married her high school sweetheart Lyle Flavel in 1960.

It is with profound sadness that the family of Ellen (Scotty) Smith announces her passing on May 30, 2023. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, this Valentine baby lived an amazing life. A twin, who was the youngest of nine, born in a poor, working-class area of Glasgow.

Dorothy Daniel
The family of Dorothy Daniel is sad to announce her passing on April 28, 2023, just shy of her 103rd birthday. Dorothy was born on May 24, 1920, in England.
Dorothy started her nursing career in the fall of 1938 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. Dorothy, along with 38 nursing colleagues were the first students to pass through its doors. Shortly after WWII broke out, the QE became a military hospital treating many from the front lines. From 1939 to 1945, it was a busy time for the hospital seeing 6000 patients with only 2200 lost.
