Despite out chancing the Battlefords North Stars, and outshooting them in the final two periods, the Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings would come up short Tuesday night, falling 3-0 to the North Stars. With the win, the Battlefords took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven quarterfinal series.
The first period would see Red Wings netminder Dazza Mitchell weather a storm, as he stopped 20 shots. He would turn aside 43 of the 45 shots he faced all game.

The Red Wings were to take on the Estevan Bruins at Crescent Point Place Saturday night. However, a blizzard that made its way through the southeast put the game on hold.
There is no word at this time if or when the game will be rescheduled, as the results won’t have an actual impact on the standings, and it was the final regular season game for both teams.
