Puneet Sandhu is the owner of Marar Orchard, a family-run company whose most recent business venture can be found down Railway Street in Cochrane.

As of June 1, Core Rental Services has been providing its rental equipment solutions from a new location at 1972 North Railway St W in Swift Current. Having established a branch in the community in the spring of 2021, the Saskatoon-based business maintains a diverse inventory, specifically selected to aid the construction and agriculture sector.

Talking about community engagement is one thing; living it out is something else entirely. When it comes to Pharmasave in Swift Current, you could say the business not only talks the talk but also walks the walk. 

“We do a little bit of everything in the community, from helping seniors to supporting folks with lower incomes who might be struggling,” says Kenzie Haubrich, Pharmasave’s store operator. “It’s hard to list everything. We’re always trying to give back.” 

When Coverall Dry Cleaner’s door closed this spring, another one opened for Anika Blaschuck. 

A skilled seamstress who’d worked at Coverall for three years, and who’d enjoyed sewing since she was a teenager, Blaschuck decided to keep doing what she loved by opening her own business. 

“Everyone wanted to continue with my services,” she says, “so I just jumped right into it.”
