Billy the Kid season 3 now filming in Alberta
Filming is now underway for one of Alberta's premier series.
Billy the Kid Season 3 is currently being shot in Calgary and the surrounding area.
According to ACTRA Alberta, filming started near the end of March and will take place until the middle of July.
In its announcement of the show's third season, MGM+ shared what is to come in what is to be the show's final season.
Unclaimed $1 million lottery ticket somewhere in Alberta
Someone in the province won big during the April 18 Lotto Max draw.
According to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation, the $1 million winning ticket was purchased somewhere in rural Alberta and is currently unclaimed.
The winning numbers are: 9, 24, 30, 31, 36, 42 and 44.
The winner or winners have one year to claim their prize.
Several long weekend fires under investigation in Okotoks
Okotoks Fire & Rescue had their hands full over the Easter long weekend, responding to eight outdoor fires in and around Okotoks.
Of those eight, four were within town limits, and a few are under investigation.
One of them was set in a public washroom near the Laurie Boyd Bridge, and it's one of several currently under investigation.

The mother of a Calgary murder suspect has testified her son was having hallucinations and was in fear of animalistic creatures months before a young woman was stabbed to death on a downtown street.
Michael Adenyi, 29, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of fitness instructor Vanessa Ladouceur. The 30-year-old was walking to work on the morning of March 18, 2022, when she was attacked.
Alberta reports 29 new cases of measles, bringing total to 118
Health officials in Alberta are reporting 29 new cases of measles, bringing the province's total to 118 since early March.
The government says many of the new cases are in Alberta's south and central zones, seven are in the north and one is in Edmonton.
Alberta Health Services says people may have been exposed to the highly contagious disease at three medical clinics in the Edmonton area earlier this month.
The cattle market volatility in the first quarter of 2025 has been pretty extreme

Advance poll turnout breaks record with 7.3M ballots cast, Elections Canada says
The waning days of the federal election campaign saw voters turn out in record numbers for advance polls and party leaders attempt to poke holes in each others' platforms.
Elections Canada said in a news release Tuesday that the four days of advance polling between Friday and Monday set a new record for turnout, with 7.3 million people casting ballots early.
That's up 25 per cent from the 5.8 million people who took part in advance voting in the 2021 federal election.
Alberta feeder co-op still in limbo over loan program
Following a comprehensive investigation by Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation’s inspection and investigation section, the FALG program was suspended in February for Alberta’s largest cattle financing co-operative, alleging a number of financial mismanagement and regulatory issues.
As negotiations continue to reinstate the Feeders Association Loan Guarantee program to the Picture Butte Feeder Co-operative, the provincial cattle feeders association is making its feelings known.
