Alberta Parks adds 330 new campsites for 2025 season
Alberta Parks is adding 330 individual campsites and two group camping areas across 15 provincial parks for the upcoming camping season.
Reservations for these new sites open April 8 at 9 a.m. on the provincial booking website (shop.albertaparks.ca).
Individual campsite reservations are available up to 90 days in advance, while group camping areas can be booked up to 180 days ahead. Individual campers can reserve stays up to 10 consecutive nights, with a maximum total stay of 16 nights. Group campers can reserve a maximum of five consecutive nights.
Water concerns continue in Beiseker and area as commission outlines next steps
The Aqua 7 Regional Water Commission says it’s still working on long-term solutions to address ongoing water discolouration and odour issues affecting several communities in the region.
The system supplies water to Beiseker, Irricana, Acme, Linden, Carbon and parts of Kneehill and Rocky View counties.

Liberals hold six-point lead over Conservatives: Leger poll
The federal Liberals are pushing further ahead of the Conservatives in voter support, and almost one in two Canadians surveyed said they think the Liberals will win the election, a new poll suggests.
The survey, conducted by Leger for The Canadian Press, reports that 44 per cent of decided voters surveyed would vote Liberal in the upcoming election, ahead of the Conservatives at 38 per cent.
The poll surveyed 1,599 Canadians between March 21 and March 23, which includes the first day of the election, and the two days leading into it.
