Living a varied and broad musical life, composer/musician Glenn Buhr has returned to Winnipeg. Best known in the city for his work as co-frontman of Winnipeg’s New Music Festival, Buhr’s latest brainchild is a magical mix of theatre and music, that welcomes a singer-songwriter, poet and special guest musicians to collaborate together in DreamPlay.

Get cozy this winter with new Warming Huts at The Forks
Celebrating its 13th year, The Forks is proudly announcing the winners of the Warming Huts competition which will be on the river trail.
October 4 marked the submission deadline for the Warming Huts v.2023: An Arts + Architecture Competition on Ice. A total of 122 submissions were received from 33 countries. Six winning designs were selected and will be joining old favourites on the Nestaweya River Trail and around The Forks site this winter.
Ringers and Singers: Two fantastic quartets perform this Sunday Afternoon
This Sunday, November 13th at 2:30pm at Chapel Lawn, the “Ring Out” Hand bell Quartet will be joined by the “At Last” vocal quartet in a concert they are calling “Bells and Voices.” This is a concert that will feature traditional favorites such as Simple Gifts and Amazing Grace, as well as some less familiar selections performed by each of the quartets.

Polycoro is back with RE:VISIONS – the first concert in their 2022/23 season which aims to present new works for a new world.
A thought-provoking program endeavouring to explore themes of truth and reconciliation through music of Indigenous composers.
"Artists commenting on art through art,” explains Zohreh Gervais, executive and creative director of Polycoro. The concert title, a play on words, referencing not only an artist’s vision and what they present through their music and creation but also revising colonial history through an Indigenous lens, says Gervais.

Perhaps donning a toque for the chillier weather north of the border, Yoo returns to Winnipeg, joined by another exceptional musician – flute player Alice Dade – not only a frequent collaborator, but, as well, his musical and life partner.
The married pair will certainly bring a musical synergy to the Crescent Arts Centre stage when they collaborate with the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra on Wednesday, November 9.
