Partners Family Services in Humboldt has made the move to its new location at the former SLGA location on Main Street. The expansive facility has been redesigned inside with an airy open feel, plenty of crush space for gatherings, numerous offices and administrative spaces, and inviting counselling areas for clients.  

Humboldt RCMP seeking information with a break and enter in Lanigan

The Humboldt RCMP are asking for assistance with a recent break and enter that occurred in Lanigan.  

On Tuesday, June 11, Humboldt RCMP were dispatched to a Public Building on the 100 block of Buran Street in Lanigan. 

The break and enter occurred between 5:00 p.m., June 7 and 8:00 am, June 11, with the suspects taking a jerry can and a trampoline.  

NATO secretary-general urges Ottawa to meet its defence spending target

Canada needs to meet NATO's minimum defence spending target, and present a plan on how it will reach it as a way to show authoritarian regimes that Western allies are aligned, said the alliance's secretary general on Wednesday.

Numbers NATO released this week show Canada is expected to spend 1.37 per cent of its gross domestic product on defence this year, well below the two per cent target.

Wednesday night’s concert with Greg Marquis at the Reid Thompson Library felt like a homecoming gathering of sorts. Friends, family and fans of the Humboldt troubadour were welcomed with newcomers in what felt like a kitchen concert with a warm wrap around feeling. A strong contingent from St. Mary’s Villa helped to pack the house.  

Native Prairie Appreciation Week June 16 to 22

Native Prairie Appreciation Week proclaimed by the Saskatchewan Ministeries of Environment and Agriculture aims to bring awareness about the importance of native grasslands in Saskatchewan and North America. 

In a statement Environment Minister Christine Tell explained that "Native prairie is essential to maintaining Saskatchewan's abundant biodiversity and provides carbon sequestration and other benefits to the economy and the environment.” 

The Canadian Cattle Young Leaders Program announce 2024-2025 semi-finalists

The Canadian Cattle Association’s (CCA) Canadian Cattle Young Leaders (CYL) Program is pleased to announce its semi-finalists for the upcoming 2024-2025 program year.

Established by CCA in 2010, the Canadian CYL Program welcomes young people ages 18-35 from across Canada involved in all areas of the beef supply chain. The Canadian CYL Program aims to build the next generation of industry leaders by providing unique mentorship, training, and professional and personal development opportunities in the Canadian beef industry.
