50/50 For Kids is winding down and Jenna Novecosky, President of the Muenster Cooperative Child Care Center joined Morning Show Host Sarah Miller to discuss their 50/50 for Kids fundraiser. The early bird draw for the fundraiser is set for July 10th, with the lucky winner receiving a $150.00 gift certificate from the Muenster Co-op. 

Novecosky shared details on what the funds are earmarked for. 

There’s another great learning opportunity for emerging artists at the Humboldt and District Gallery this Saturday, July 13 with a sketching workshop. The session will be led by Leane Harasymchuk whose exhibition Sketches from Home is on now at the Gallery.  

Leane has adopted the urban sketch style and applied it to numerous iconic local buildings and streetscapes with an attentive eye and whimsical spirit. She’ll talk about how artists can use sketch skills for finished work and to springboard to other visual art outlets.

Thousands of Ticketmaster users may have had their data compromised in a security breach.

Ticketmaster says it discovered unauthorized activity on an isolated cloud database hosted by a third-party data services provider between April 2 and May 18.

The company learned a few days later that some personal information of customers may have been affected, possibly including email, phone number, or encrypted credit card information.

Growers and agronomists looking for help in making sclerotinia spray decisions this summer will have access to a new online tool from the Canola Council of Canada. Available at , the sclerotinia risk assessment tool offers both a recommendation about whether or not to spray a canola crop (at 20-50 per cent flower) based on several inputs from the user, along with an opportunity to assess the spray decision by rating sclerotinia severity at maturity (30-60 per cent seed colour change).

A vision became a reality at Batoche. 

Last week, the Dumont Lodge opened its doors as the facility continues to build the connection between elders and youth and help preserve the Metis history. 

The lodge idea originated from Elder Albert LeClair about two years ago, as he wanted the Riel scouting program to learn more about their Metis history.

Federal Agriculture Minister Lawrence MacAulay was in Calgary today to announce more than $6 million for Canada Beef and the Canadian Cattle Association.

The funding through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership - AgriMarketing Program is geared towards increasing awareness and demand for Canadian beef in existing and new markets through advertising and promotional activities such as incoming and outgoing trade missions, technical training, and educational seminars.

The Saskatoon RCMP received a report on Sunday, July 7 that several mailboxes near Sunset Estates in the RM of Blucher were broken into 

and suspicious objects left in them. An investigation determined one of the mailboxes was damaged by an explosive device. 

This morning, just before 10:00 am, Saskatoon RCMP received a separate report of an explosive device placed in a mailbox rural road 3040 in the RM of Corman Park. 

A 23-year old woman has been hospitalized following a single vehicle collision near Saskatoon on Sunday morning.

At around 6:15 am, on July 7, 2024, police responded to the call of a vehicle accident with injuries near the intersection of Highway #5 and Highway #41. 

Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle in a ditch, that is believed to have rolled numerous times. The vehicle had also started on fire. Saskatoon Fire was on the scene to extinguish the fire and assist in extracting the driver from the vehicle.
