Goldeyes' Murphy named Batter of the Week by American Association
Winnipeg Goldeyes slugger Max Murphy has been named American Association Batter of the Week for the period ending June 2, the league announced Monday.
Murphy hit .500 for the week with two doubles, two homers, 11 runs batted in, and eight runs scored. He has raised his batting average by 90 points over the past six games. The 31-year-old is tied for the league lead with 24 RBIs.

Lincoln takes second straight from Goldeyes
The Lincoln Saltdogs (9-12) recorded 17 hits as they defeated the Winnipeg Goldeyes 11-7 at Blue Cross Park Saturday evening.
Lincoln took an early lead when the fourth batter of the ballgame, designated hitter Spencer Henson, hit a three-run home run to left field.
Winnipeg (9-12) trimmed the lead to one with a pair of runs in the second inning. Centre fielder Miles Simington scored on a throwing error before left fielder Roby Enríquez hit a sacrifice fly to left field that brought catcher Rob Emery home to make it a 3-2 game.
Saltdogs rally to defeat Goldeyes
The Lincoln Saltdogs (8-12) scored seven times in the seventh inning Friday evening en route to a 9-4 victory over the Winnipeg Goldeyes at Blue Cross Park.

The mayor of the town of Stonewall, Man., is sending thanks to emergency workers and sharing sympathies with business owners after a devastating fire destroyed one business and damaged two others last week.
The Town of Stonewall suffered a tremendous loss to its downtown core on Friday, May 24, as a result of an early morning fire that started in the middle of the 300 block of Main Street.
Goldeyes' Hall transferred to Milwaukee Brewers
The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced Sunday that the contract of outfielder Adam Hall has been transferred to the Milwaukee Brewers.
Hall becomes the first member of the Goldeyes to move to a Major League organization since fellow Canadian Will McAffer in January 2023, and the 87th in club history.
The 25-year-old hit .526 in six games with Winnipeg, with three doubles, one home run, two runs batted in, and seven runs scored.
Teen girl charged with assaulting police officers
A 16-year-old girl is facing several charges after police allege she headbutted and kicked officers who were responding to a report of a robbery.
The Winnipeg Police Services says that on May 26, 2024, at approximately 6 p.m., the WPS was contacted by a bystander regarding an assault involving three females outside a business in the 800 block of Main Street.
Responding officers located the victim, a woman in her 20s, who had some upper body injuries from being punched and kicked but declined medical attention. She reported that her phone was taken during the incident.
Goldeyes Unable to Collar DockHounds
The Lake Country DockHounds (6-10) avoided the series sweep Sunday afternoon, defeating the Winnipeg Goldeyes 8-3 at Blue Cross Park.
Falling behind 6-0 after a big fifth inning for the DockHounds, the Goldeyes (7-9) were unable to recover.
That fifth inning saw three runs cross the plate for Lake Country, which was capped off by a Josh Altmann single to left field that scored both Justin Lavey and Blake Tiberi.
Goldeyes take two from Lake Country
The Winnipeg Goldeyes (7-8) swept a twin bill from the Lake Country DockHounds at Blue Cross Park Saturday, winning game one 6-3 and taking the nightcap by a score of 1-0.
