RM of Stuartburn council members recently approved a Conditional Use Permit for an Interpretive Centre to be built. Reeve Michelle Gawronsky shares about the new project in the community.

"We had a request from the Orthodox Mennonites who’ve recently moved into our area. They wanted to build an interpretive center and last week, Council gave the green light."

The RM of Piney council recently made the decision to join the Association of Manitoba Bilingual Municipalities (AMBM). Reeve Wayne Anderson says this was done as a strategic move aimed at strengthening regional ties and enhancing local services. 

Anderson says that Piney’s council had long been interested in joining the AMBM but had been unable to meet the requirements for Francophone representation.

A Manitoba thrift store is celebrating a half-century of work and seeing overwhelming success.

The Steinbach MCC Thrift Store has been a place where many in the community have visited to purchase affordable household items and articles of gently used clothing for the past 50 years. It recently held a "Then to Now" Information Night at the Grace Mennonite Church in Steinbach.

Members of ATV clubs from across Manitoba spent last Sunday in Woodridge, testing out new trail grooming equipment.

Gary Hora, President of the Woodridge ATV Sandhogs says they were in need of a new trail groomer and so he reached out to The Shop Industrial, out of Sudbury, Ontario. He notes it’s a company that makes larger snowmobile trail groomers and was now making smaller models for ATV and walking trails.

Steinbach Christian School (SCS) has seen remarkable growth and achievements over the past nine months, culminating in a graduating class that has doubled in size compared to the previous year.
