*Update* School bus collision results in numerous injuries
**Update**
There were 27 children on the bus between the ages of 14-17 years old along with an adult bus driver. 25 children and the bus driver were transported to the hospital by EMS and parents. One child was taken to the hospital in Saskatoon by STARS Air Ambulance. 21 children have injuries that were described as non-life threatening with six children having injuries described as serious in nature. The bus driver's injuries have been described as serious in nature.
Racquel Hilbert takes Humboldt-Watrous for Sask Party
As results from rural areas begin to come in early in the evening, it became evident that in the Humboldt-Watrous constituency, electors had chosen the Sask Party and welcomed a new MLA, Racquel Hilbert.
Hilbert captured the nomination this summer when long serving MLA, Finance Minister and Deputy Premier Donna Harpauer chose to step down. Before the campaign was official, Hilbert stepped into the candidacy with seeming ease, guided by one of the strongest political mentors one could wish for in Harpauer.
Chris Beaudry victorious for the Sask Party in Kelvington-Wadena
The newly realigned Kelvington-Wadena constituency left Sask party candidate Chris Beaudry miles to travel to connect with his constituents, but he proved up to the challenge as roughly an hour after the polls closed, the St. Front farmer was declared elected.
Broncos earn split in Flin Flon against Bombers
The Humboldt Broncos managed to walk away with two points after two games in the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon against the Bombers.
On Friday, the Broncos earned a 4-3 victory which was followed by the Bombers taking Saturday’s contest 2-1.
Goalie Ty Matonovich picked up his first win of the season on Friday night, making 44 saves.

The Muenster Elks celebrate 50 years of active service
The Muenster Elks celebrated their 50th Anniversary as a chapter with an informal supper and program for members and significant others. The membership gathered on Saturday, October 26 at the Muenster Curling Club, their traditional headquarters of operation.
After a gathering hour and a lovely meal, members and guests reminisced about major events, club-based hi-jinks, and the thousands of hours of service leading to thousands of dollars generated by the organization for local charities.

It’s the final day for voting in Saskatchewan. Polling stations open at 9:00 and close tonight at 8:00 pm.

RCMP provides update on Thursday's Dangerous Persons Alert
Saskatchewan RCMP have provided an update to the Dangerous Persons Alert that was issued on Thursday.
The two suspects that were arrested on Thursday were located by by Saskatoon Police Services Air Support Unit running along the Saskatchewan River bank, approximately three kilometers from where they were seen entering the bush and arrested by RCMP officers on the ground near Highway #123.
Lori Johb reelected as President of Saskatchewan Federation of Labour
Leroy’s Lori Johb was reelected as the President of the Saskatchewan Federation of Labour (SFL) on Friday.
The announcement came at the conclusion of the SFL’s biennial convention held at TCU Place in Saskatoon.
A healthcare worker and a member of the SEIU-West, Johb was reelected by delegates from several unions in attendance at the convention.
Midway CO-OP helps fill the semi for local food banks
CO-OP' s Fill the Semi campaign continued this week, with the communities of Watson and Leroy stepping up.
On Tuesday in Watson, and on Friday in Leroy, Midway COOP hosted a smokie lunch with the proceeds going towards the Lanigan and Humboldt Food Banks.
The lunch in Leroy also helped out their local curling club.
