Genre-bending Andrew Collins Trio coming to Watrous Civic Centre
Andrew Collins is a versatile musician at the forefront of Canada’s acoustic/roots music scene. The group will be performing at the Watrous Civic Centre on Saturday, March 2 at 7:30 pm. The show is part of the OSAC Concert Series.
He has co-founded various successful Canadian bands and is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, arranger, writer, and teacher across multiple genres including folk, jazz, bluegrass, Celtic, and classical.
Province hits record high on surgeries performed
The Saskatchewan government and the SHA are reporting the highest provincial volume of surgeries recorded during a nine-month period. A government release states that as of December 31, 71,850 procedures have been performed, which is an increase of 6,000 procedures over December 2022.
Humboldt and District SPCA 5050 Cash Raffle Fundraiser on now
Get in on the Humboldt and District SPCA 50/50 Cash Raffle Fundraiser with a potential cash prize of $2,577,500. All proceeds go to support the great work of the staff and volunteers at the Humboldt and District SPCA Inc. The organization relies on donations and fundraising efforts like the 50/50 to continue supporting their animals in need. The Humboldt and District SPCA takes in approximately 200 animals a year. The cost of running the shelter is over $125,000 a year.
City of Humboldt Snow Cleaning Route
With the sudden downfall of snow, the City of Humboldt crews are out addressing drifted areas to facilitate movement around the City.
“The night shift will begin tonight with a focus on downtown (including downtown sidewalks and downtown alleys), as well as all priority 1 and 2 locations not requiring windrowing. They will then be back tomorrow night to pick up all of the downtown windrows,” stated the City in a release.
The City of Humboldt asks residents on the 700 blocks of 9th Street and 7th Street to move their vehicles off the street.
Puck drop at Saturday's Bronco game supports Nipawin helipad project
A special group was in the house for the Humboldt Broncos’ Emergency Responders game. Members of the Nipawin First Responders were on hand for a 2nd period intermission puck drop raising funds for the Nipawin Hospital Heliport Project Fundraiser.
Presentation with Emergency Services Recognition and Dawg Nation creates special on-ice moment
It was a special night at the Humboldt Bronco game on Saturday, February 24 as the Broncos came together with the community to honour emergency services personnel at the Emergency Responders Appreciation Evening. Emergency personnel were given free admission and the evening held special surprises.
Bus cancellations for Humboldt
All busses for Humboldt running to the Catholic Schools are cancelled for the afternoon.
This includes rural busses and urban busses 1 and 2 running to St. Dominic and St. Augustine Schools.
Today is a scheduled non-instructional day for Horizon School Division Schools with no scheduled bus service for those students.
