Portage la Prairie RCMP arrested three men on multiple offences after an incident from the start of November.
The police report says that on November 3, at 9:45 a.m., a Portage la Prairie RCMP officer was making patrols and observed a passenger in a vehicle drinking what looked like an alcohol beverage.
The officer then conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle. The officer observed several open containers of alcohol and placed the three suspects under arrest. During the search of the arrested individuals, drugs, stolen property and a weapon were located.
A 21-year-old man from Long Plain First Nation faces charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and was released from custody to appear in court at a later date.
A 25-year-old man from Long Plain First Nation faces charges of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purposes and Failing to Comply with a Release Order. He was remanded into custody and appeared in court on November 6.
A 26-year-old man from Portage la Prairie faces charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. He was also remanded into custody and appeared in court on November 6.
