Stonewall RCMP continues to investigate.

Two Manitoba men face charges following a traffic stop last Wednesday in the RM of Rockwood. 

At 1:00 am on November 8, while on patrol, the Stonewall RCMP noticed a suspicious vehicle parked just off Highway 7 and Highway 67.

Upon checking the vehicle, the officer noticed two people who appeared to be sleeping inside. The officer knocked on the window and the driver opened the door; however, during the process, police observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. As a result, both were arrested.

Police say that a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of approximately 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine, ammunition and an assortment of tools that had been stolen in a recent theft.

Jaida Nash, 45, from the RM of Bifrost, is facing charges of Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Failure to Comply.

Jeremy Peebles, 44, from Winnipeg, is facing charges of Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Failure to Comply x4.

Both were released from custody on Release orders.
