CJ 1150 has been a leading voice in local news, sports, and weather for the entire region for decades.
Starting this morning, the legacy of CJ 1150 will continue to grow, but with a slightly different sound.
With Saskatchewan radio legend Rob Carnie taking the helm in the mornings, you will continue to hear the local voices that are so important to you, and you will be able to dance and sing along to the greatest hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s as CJ 1150 offers you Saskatchewan’s Best Music.
“CJ 1150 is evolving to match our listeners with the music they grew up with, all while staying committed to our core – local news and information unique to Estevan and southeast Saskatchewan,” said Brett Adnum, the chief operating officer of Golden West.
The changes on the radio are also making it easier for us to be able to tell the stories of our community.
“With these changes, we’ve been able to add an additional reporter position to deepen our coverage,” Adnum continued. “With the blend of local information and the music that reflects the community, we couldn’t be more excited to see the positive impact this will have on southeast Saskatchewan.”
The changes on CJ 1150 aren't the only ones happening on Estevan radio.
Country 106.1 officially launched this morning as well.
