On November 17 at approximately 4:35 p.m., patrolling RCMP conducted a traffic stop on 9th Avenue South East in Dauphin.

They stopped a  driver and passenger who were involved in an earlier theft and were arrested.

Police searched the vehicle and seized weapons, 90 grams of cocaine, a small quantity of methamphetamine, prescription drugs, ammunition, and cash.

Dillon Lebel, 26, has been charged with:

  • Operation of a Motor Vehicle while Prohibited,
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime,
  • 3 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Weapons Possession Contrary to Order.

Lorne McKinnon, 55, has been charged with:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime,
  • 3 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

They were released and are scheduled to appear in court on January 9, 2024, in Dauphin.

 

On November 28 at about 1:15 a.m., RCMP on patrol conducted a traffic stop on 1st Avenue South East in Dauphin. When the officer approached the vehicle, he could see drug paraphernalia in plain view. All five adult occupants of the vehicle were placed under arrest while a search was conducted.

The search resulted in the seizure of weapons, cash, prescription drugs and a small quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine.

While officers were placing one of the suspects in cells they noticed the 36-year-old woman had something in her mouth. She was told several times to spit it out and when she did it was determined to be two small baggies of cocaine.

Sean Bouchie, 42, was charged with:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking,
  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon,
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

He was remanded into custody.

Chantelle Ferland, 36, has been charged with:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking,
  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon,
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

She was released on a release order.

The other three occupants were released without charges.

 

On November 29 at about 2:15 a.m., RCMP on patrol conducted a traffic stop on Main Street South in Dauphin. Officers determined the driver was suspended from driving and was subsequently arrested. After police searched the vehicle, they found and seized a loaded firearm, weapons, cash, and 62 grams of cocaine.

Diondre Nicholson, 18, has been charged with over 10 offences including:

  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon,
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

He was also charged for several offences under the Highway Traffic Act.

He was remanded into custody.

“These are examples of some of the great police work being done in the Dauphin area,” said Sergeant Scott Linklater, Acting Detachment Commander of the Parkland area. “Our officers work hard on a daily basis to make our communities safer and will continue to focus on getting drugs, guns and weapons off our streets.”
