What do you call a metric cookie? A gram cracker.

From November 13th to November 19th, Portage la Prairie and area residents came together to buy Tim Hortons Holiday cookies in support of two good causes.

With 4,972 cookies devoured at $1.50, customers stepped up to help bring $7,458.78 toward the Portage Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) and the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.

"We are so thankful to the community members who bought Holiday Smile Cookies. Together with them, we were able to step up for PAWS and help them continue their amazing work," said Portage Tim Hortons GM Stephanie Arnott.

PAWS and the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps both took in $3,729.39 from the sweet fundraiser.
