A 55-year-old man has been charged with multiple offences after a traffic stop last Saturday. 

According to police, it all started on December 16, at 1:05 am, when a Winnipegosis RCMP officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Highway 20 near Fork River. 

During the stop, the officer observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, and the driver was arrested.

A search of the man and vehicle resulted in the seizure of over $5,000 in cash, 20 grams of cocaine, prescription medication, a firearm magazine, ammunition, several cell phones and other drug paraphernalia.

Lorne McKinnon, 55, was charged with multiple offences, including Possession for Trafficking x2 and Failing to Comply.

McKinnon was remanded into custody.
