It's by-election day in Morden, with eligible voters going to the polls to select the city's next mayor and to fill two vacant council seats.

Polls are open 8am to 8pm at St. Paul's United Church at 353 Thornhill Street, and a voter may be required to produce one piece of government-issued photo I-D, such as a driver's license, or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity.

Former Councillor Nancy Penner and newcomer to local politics Nicholas Hoeppner on the ballot in the Mayoral race.

There are seven candidates for the two council seats: Chris Abrams, Megan Giesbrecht, Dave Hildebrand, Brenda Klassen, Tracey Krause, Allan Spearman and Darlene Wiebe.
