Coronach RCMP are looking for assistance in identifying an individual suspected of multiple break-and-enter thefts spanning several years. The man is described as being between 30-50 years of age with balding, sandy-brown hair. He is known to wear glasses, hoodies, Mechanix brand gloves, a dark backpack, and a black reusable facemask.
On the night of February 28, 2023, several Coronach businesses were broken into with only cash stolen in each instance. In the early morning of March 30, several businesses in Ogema were also broken into. Again, only cash was stolen. RCMP are not releasing the locations of other thefts suspected to be in connection with this individual as investigations are still ongoing.
RCMP have noted a pattern with the businesses targeted in these thefts, the entry methods used, and the items stolen, which lead to the suspect in question. He is believed to target businesses in small towns across Southern Saskatchewan and Manitoba, typically seeking cash.
Stills from surveillance footage have just been released by Coronach RCMP in the hopes that someone will recognize the suspect and be able to provide information that may assist in their investigation. Anyone who recognizes this man, or has information that could help further the investigation, is urged to contact either their local detachment by calling 310-RCMP (310-7267) or the Coronach RCMP at 306-267-1830. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
