Dorothy Veroba, of Moose Jaw, passed away on January 28, 2024, at the age of 68.

Dorothy grew up in Hamiota, Manitoba, on a farm, she was always a farmer girl at heart. She was never afraid of any bugs, snakes, or spiders, so you could understand her enjoyment when I would run at the sight of a small house spider. Her father found a wounded deer on the farm, and she helped him take care of her, it eventually became a pet on the farm for them. She always had an affinity for animals, she owned a tarantula at one point, even a hedgehog. Growing up we always had to have a pet cat, or two.

She moved to Moose Jaw where she was an in-house nanny for a few years. She met Ronald, and their love story began… immediately she was smitten by his positive spirit and gentlemen like ways. From the first day they met she knew she wanted to be with him. They were beautiful together, they complimented each other's flaws, he always had a way of calming her down and making her happy. They never fought, a few squabbles just like any couple, the one time he left after a squabble, got into the car, and drove half a block away to cool off. He was gone five minutes before he was back, and we were all hugging.

Dorothy will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Christine Flegel and Polly Veroba.

A private service will be held.

In living memory of Dorothy, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Ltd. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com
