Garry Paul Marklinger
1946 – 2025

Garry Marklinger, late of Swift Current and formerly of Estevan, passed away with family by his side on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at the Regina General Hospital, Regina, SK at the age of 79 years.
Garry is survived by his two children, Wendy and Steve (Tanya Schiestel); grandchildren, Jenny Scott Young, Kohl Marklinger; siblings: Mary Jane Marklinger-Ryckman (partner Frank Young), Linda (Jim) Choquette, and Wayne (Nancy) Marklinger; brother-in-law Les Geisel; Uncle “Bud” Richard Marklinger, as well as many family and friends.

JANET LEE WADHAM, beloved wife of Richard Wadham, of Lethbridge, AB, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8th, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer.

Along with her husband Richard, Janet is survived by her two sons, Kristopher (Natasha) of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and Cory (Elle) of Kelowna, B.C., two grandchildren, Taylor and Teegan of Moose Jaw, and one sister, Wendy (Bob) Jackman of Medicine Hat, Alberta.

With heavy hearts, the family wishes to announce the passing of Ashley “Lee” Cordelle Moore, late of Estevan, SK. Lee passed away at St. Josephs Hospital on Friday, September 5, 2025 at the age of 49 years.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 12, 2025 at St. John the Baptist R.C Church, Estevan, SK at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Thuy Nguyen presiding. The burial will take place following the service at Oxbow Cemetery.

Ida Derksen, 98, of Niverville passed away Tuesday, September 9th at St. Pierre Hospital. She was predeceased by her first husband Edward Thiessen and her second husband Abraham Derksen. 
The funeral service for Ida Derksen will be held Sunday, September 21st at 4pm at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with burial at Niverville Hespeler Cemetery. 
Viewing will be at the chapel prior to the service. 
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Red Rock Bible Camp.  

John Penner

John Penner, 97, of Grunthal passed away Tuesday, September 9th at Bethesda Regional Health Centre. He is survived by 1 daughter, 2 sons, and their families. He was predeceased by his first wife Susan, and his second wife Helena. 
The funeral service for John Penner will be held Saturday, September 13th at 2pm at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with burial prior to the service at 10am at Winkler Cemetery.  Arrangements by Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach.
