David Francis Draude
April 7, 1958 – January 28, 2024

David Francis Draude, 65 years, of Annaheim, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 surrounded by family. Dave was born on April 7, 1958, in Humboldt to Francis and Mary (nee Theissing) Draude. He grew up on the farm in the Annaheim district and attended Annaheim School. Dave worked at a variety of jobs, eventually becoming a Journeyman Welder. In the early 1990’s, he joined the Iron Workers Union and would work around the province, wherever they needed him. Dave married Lorna Jasken and together they had a family of four boys. In 2014, he met Jody Nienaber and the two of them have enjoyed the past ten years together. In his younger years, he played many different sports. He enjoyed camping and skiing trips with his boys over the years. Dave loved music, mostly rock, and attended many, many concerts over the years. He liked puttering around, whether to work on his yard or garden, or tinkering in his shop. Dave was a social person: he loved being around others, bantering with his siblings, lending a helping hand where needed, making other people laugh and sitting around a good bonfire. Dave will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his spouse, Jody Nienaber of Annaheim; his four sons and three grandchildren: Jason Draude of Humboldt; Derek (Jacqueline) Draude of St. Benedict and their children Nate, Duke and Cruz; Joel Draude and Dustin Draude, both of Humboldt; mother Mary Draude of Middle Lake; siblings: Jerome (Terri) Draude of Penticton, BC, Rita Crone of Osoyoos, BC, Donna Draude (Darren) of Saskatoon, Denis Draude of Humboldt, Richard (Heather) Draude of Red Deer, AB, Maurice (Sandi) Draude of Wakaw, and Gerard Draude of Annaheim; and many nieces and nephews. Dave was predeceased by his father Francis Draude; step-son Brett Nienaber, brother-in-law Erwin Crone, grandparents: Karl & Elizabeth Draude and John & Katherine Weiss. A Come and Go Social Gathering was held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Humboldt Legion Hall, Main Street South, Humboldt.
