If you've ever thought about becoming a pet owner or have a heart for animals in your family, there's an event you won't want to miss.
On Monday the Swift Current SPCA will be at the Swift Current Mall hosting an adoption fair, with dogs and cats who are all looking for their fur-ever home.
In addition to pets ranging from a few months old to seniors, the SPCA will have quilts, pet coats, and calendars available for purchase. SPCA staff members will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
SPCA Fundraising Manager, Ashley Muhle, is looking forward to seeing how many people come out and meet a new friend to take home with them.
"The shelter won't be open that day," noted Muhle. "But we are taking applications with us, so people will be able to fill it out and apply for a new furry friend.}
A gallery binder containing all of the adoptable animals will be available as well as adoption application forms.
"A family gets completed [when a pet joins it]," said Muhle.
Stop by this Family Day to support the SPCA or to give a shelter animal the gift of a family.
The 'Fetch A Family' adoption fair will run from 1-3 p.m. on Feb. 19.
