The Portage Terriers are back on the road tonight to take on the Winkler Flyers in Game 3 of their best-of-seven series.

The Dogs felt pretty good about their last game on Sunday, a 3-2 victory on home ice after a tough loss to open the series in Winkler.

Parker Scherr was named the player of the game, and felt the team was better prepared for Game 2.

"I think we've got to remember that it's a long series and we just have to stick to our fundamentals and make sure that we treat every game like it's the biggest game of the year. Winkler is a good team, they're strong and physical and we know that. But I feel like if we stick to our fundamentals, stick to keeping it simple and focus on the details, we'll be fine."

The Terriers have beaten Winkler in five out of their seven matchups this season, and look to add another win tonight. Gabriel Laflamme, named the Hardest Working Player in the last game, notes what the team's mentality is as they now enter a best-of-five.

"We knew we could beat them every game if we really worked hard." Laflamme added, "We know we're on the right path if we continue like this (last game)."

With game time set for 7 p.m., Portage will face a Winkler team that will undoubtedly be hungry to retake the series lead.

The game will be broadcast on CFRY, with the Hi-Tech Industries pre-game show starting at 6:50.
