A 44-year-old man is facing a criminal charge after an alleged indecent act on Monday.

The Manitoba RCMP says that officers in Selkirk were called around 11:30 a.m. to a daycare on Morris Avenue.

It was reported a male exposed himself in front of children and staff and then left on foot. An employee immediately contacted police and provided a description.

RCMP attended and began making patrols in the area but did not locate the suspect.

A second call was received at approximately 1:45 pm advising the male had returned to the area. Officers attended and the male was arrested without incident.

A 44-year-old male is facing a charge of Indecent Act. He was released from custody with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Selkirk RCMP continues to investigate.
