Update:
Both the passenger in the northbound vehicle, a 36-year-old man from Langruth, and the 19-year-old man who was driving the southbound vehicle, from The Pas, have since succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision. They both died in hospital.
The investigation continues as investigators are still awaiting reports from the RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist and the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Manitoba RCMP responded to a collision over the weekend, which has left one dead and two seriously injured.
On Saturday, March 23, at roughly 9:30 p.m., Amaranth RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 50 at Road 99 North in the RM of Westlake-Gladstone.
Emergency Medical Services provided care to multiple patients when officers arrived on the scene.
Officials say an investigation has determined that a southbound car crossed into the northbound lane, striking the oncoming vehicle head-on.
The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 35-year-old woman from Sandy Bay First Nation, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, a 36-year-old man from Langruth, was seriously injured and transported to hospital.
The 19-year-old male driver of the southbound car from The Pas received life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital in Winnipeg. A two-year-old boy was belted into a car seat and sustained minor injuries. He was transported to a local hospital and has since been released.
The 19-year-old remains in critical condition in the hospital.
The investigation continues.
