Lorna Therese Dyok
August 4, 1956 – May 12, 2024

It is with deep sadness that the family of Lorna Therese Dyok announces her sudden passing on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon.

Lorna was born on August 4, 1956 in Regina to Leo and Maryann (nee Ziegler) Sanheim. While growing up she and her family would live in various communities throughout the province. Upon completion of her grade 12 she enrolled in the Certified Nursing Assistant program at Saskatchewan Technical Institute Saskatoon (Kelsey) Campus. Lorna then moved to Regina and worked at the Regina General Hospital for 15 years.

On July 18, 1987 she married Ronald Dyok, whom she met through mutual friends, at Quinton, SK. Together they settled on a farm outside of Quill Lake where the family would reside for the next couple decades.  Lorna and Ron were blessed with five children, which kept her days full alongside reading and gardening.

Sadly Ron passed away in May 2003, with the family remaining at the farm until 2008 where they then moved to Humboldt. In Humboldt Lorna enjoyed volunteering at the hospital and continuing to raise her children. Family was always number one and spending time with her children is when she felt the best. In her later years she loved researching family history, watching flowers bloom, and having cherished moments with her pet dog Sammy.

Lorna will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her five children: Rebecca (Derek), Jessica, Shana, Amanda (Salman) and Nathan; mother Maryann; two sisters Debra and Sandra (Roger); brother Kenneth (Bernadette); sisters in law Jean and Bev; numerous nieces and nephews.

Lorna was predeceased by her husband, Ronald; father Leo; brothers in law Robert, Kenneth, Ernest, and Stanley; mother in-law Katherine and father in law Bronislav.

The Funeral Service for Lorna was held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Malinoski & Danyluik Funeral Home & Crematorium, Humboldt, led by Funeral Celebrant Debbie Sarauer.  Interment followed in the Quill Lake Cemetery.  Memorial Donations in Lorna’s memory may be made to STARS.
