STEVENSON
Wilma Sadie Stevenson left this world peacefully on Monday, May 13th, 2024, at the age of 91 years. Wilma was born in North Bay, ON February 9th, 1933. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Wilma was highly skilled at crafting and sewing and showed her love for her family by creating beautiful handmade gifts. She gave her time and was always there when needed by family.
One of Wilma’s passions was line dancing. She spent many hours with friends as she performed and competed in many community events. Competing in Vegas was one of Wilma’s most treasured line dancing memories.
Wilma also gave to her community by volunteering at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. She spent many years helping in the gift shop as well as other areas in the hospital. She also volunteered at the Abbotsford Senior Centre. Wilma participated in many fundraisers, contributing not only her time but many of her well sought after crafts.
Wilma absolutely loved Christmas. She loved spending time with her family and making gifts. She loved every aspect of Christmas from the music to the decorations, and snowmen. Snowmen were a particular favorite for her, and she lovingly made and shared her creations.
She was predeceased by her parents, William Robert Long and Edith Vermillion Long; sister, Pearl Frederick; son, Ronald William Stevenson; and great-grandson, Vann Scandrett. Wilma is survived by her children: Kelly (Dave), Terry (Bev), Robert (Angela), and Kathy (Bryant); daughter-in-law, Daphne Stevenson; grandchildren: Nathan, Brandon, Brooke, Courtney, Brianne, Nickie (Joe), Amber (Aaron), Natasha, Michelle, Megan (Pete), Emily, Kimberly, and Braedan (Alex); and great-grandchildren: Little Nathan, Alexis, Kassidy, Cameron, Linden, Jayden, Lane, Dash, Parker, Vaughn, Rhys, Tristan, Olliver, Madeline, Dylan, Piper, and Rosie.
