WALKER

Feb. 19, 1967 – May 19, 2024

Deanna Lynn Walker was born February 19, 1967, in Kamloops, BC. and was adopted by Bill and Etalia Shane.  In 1972 she became a big sister when her parents adopted a baby boy Buster (William).  After her parents' divorce her mom blessed her with another dad, Doug and in 1979 a baby sister Peggy. In 1988 she moved to Neville, Saskatchewan to be with her family who had moved there the previous year.

In 1994 Deanna lost, first her brother, and then a couple of months later her mom, something she never got over.  In 1998 her dad introduced her to her future stepmom, Dorothy, who brought along two new stepbrothers, John and James, and a stepsister, Donna.  In 1999 she became an Aunty and in 2000 Deanna moved to Moose Jaw to be closer to her sister and nephew. In 2001 she became an aunty again.  Her niece Ally and nephew Ryan were her world.

August 2006 Deanna met Brent and there was an instant attraction between them.  She invited him over for supper and beers and he was instantly hooked.  Within three months they were living together.  October 2009, while vacationing in Las Vegas, Brent surprised her with a marriage proposal.  They returned to Moose Jaw as husband and wife.

June 11, 2019, her family almost lost her to heart failure.  They were blessed with five more years with Deanna in their lives.  Deanna was an avid reader and liked to cook.  She enjoyed fishing with her husband and loved her family dearly.  She had a beautiful heart.

Deanne leaves to celebrate her life, her husband, Brent; dad, Doug Roys; sister, Peggy Pohl; step siblings, John McFadyen (Darlene), James McFadyen, Donna McFadyen; nephew, Ryan Pohl; niece, Alexandria Pohl (Danton Hartman); step niece, Lorraine McFadyen; dad, Bill Shane (Ann); mother-in-law, Donna Fontaine; brother-in-law, Corey Walker as well as numerous other family and friends.

Deanna is reunited with her mom, Etalia Roys; brother, Buster (William Shane) Roys; and stepmom, Dorothy McFadyen.

A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.  In leu of flowers, donations in Deanna’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
