Suspect in custody after "Serious incident" Tuesday in Portage

Manitoba RCMP are reporting that a suspect is in custody after an incident involving a report of a possibly armed & agitated man at a McLenaghen Drive residence in Portage la Prairie.

PortageOnline was on the scene while officers looked for the suspect and saw a drone dispatched over the McLenaghen Drive property Tuesday afternoon.

The roadway was blocked at Hwy 240 and partway down McLenaghen Drive as a part of the police investigation.

RCMP have informed us that they are responding to a serious incident in progress on McLenaghen Drive. We ask people to avoid the area until further notice.
