Locals can begin their excitement as the MacGregor Fair has finally arrived.
An organizer of the event, Joanne Armstrong, comments she is looking forward to this year’s fair, and is hoping to have a good turnout. Armstrong says there is something for the whole family at this event.
“We've got several events planned for all three days. Everything from a horse show to flea markets, and a car show. We've got kids' activities with bouncy castles, the entertainment stage, there are a few different acts on the stage throughout the day.”
Armstrong adds that the fair would not be possible without their sponsors and volunteers. Many things are going on over the three days that cannot be missed. Another organizer, Jim Klywak notes his eagerness for the fair to begin.
“The MacGregor fair is a kind of tradition to look forward to. In case of rain, bring umbrellas but the events will go on.”
Klywak shares that rain or shine, it will be a great day.
The fair has something for everyone. Armstrong encourages anyone to come down and check out what they have to offer. There is also a parade that will be festive, and surely a good family event, she adds.
Project Patio will be at the MacGregor fair collecting interviews and names for our big end-of-summer draw. The MacGregor fair is the place to be this weekend, check out some pictures of the fun from last year’s fair.
