A woman from North Dakota recently celebrated her 106th birthday, crediting God with a long life.
Hulda Erdman from Bismark, North Dakota, celebrated her birthday earlier this month. A local news station, FKYR-TV, asked Erdman what the secret to a long life was.
"Well, my dear, there is no secret," says Erdman. "My Lord has just made me that old. Singing in the choir and all that kind of stuff."
Erdman loves the Lord, and her second greatest love is music. At a young age, she started watching her older brother play the piano and ended up learning how to play by ear.
She currently resides at Baptist Health and Rehab in Bismarck, and other than her arthritis, Erdman is healthy considering she is over a century old. She was born during WWI, back in 1918.
While Erdman said only a few words during her recent interview, she points to her faith in God and the love of music that brought her to this moment.
